by most common corrosive chemicals. ECTFE products have excellent chemical and mechanical
properties, impact strength, and a broad service use temperature. This polymer offers extremely
low permeability to liquids, gases, and vapors.

HIPS is a low cost plastic material that is easy to machine and fabricate. HIPS is often specified for
low strength structural applications when impact resistance, machinability, and low cost are
required. It is frequently used machining pre-production prototypes since it has excellent
dimensional stability and is easy to fabricate, paint and glue. Natural (translucent white) HIPS is
FDA compliant for use in food processing applications.

PEEK is a high performance semi-crystalline thermoplastic. PEEK's characteristics include high temperature performance, excellent wear properties, superior chemical resistance and outstanding toughness and strength. Currently Westlake is stocking PEEK in film, rod and select sizes of sheet.
Propylux is made from polypropylene resin. Among its most notable characteristics are its
mechanical toughness, chemical resistance, and resistance to abrasion. These properties make
it suitable for various applications. Propylux Natural, and Void Free are FDA compliant.

Through process improvement and advanced engineering, Westlake Plastics
introduces the next generation of heat-stabilized polypropylene. Propylux 290 is
produced from a FDA approved homopolymer resin, and exhibits better heat and
dimensional stability over Propylux.
