ECTFE provides excellent chemical resistance, good electrical properties, a broad-use
temperature range from cryogenic to 300°F (150°C), and meets the requirements of UL-94 V-0
vertical flame test in thicknesses as low as 7 mils (0.18 mm). It is a tough material with excellent
impact strength and wear resistance. *In addition to our standard capabilities, Westlake also has the
ability to process custom resins in various sizes and colors
with some exceptions.
PEEK is a high performance semi-crystalline thermoplastic. PEEK's characteristics include high temperature performance, excellent wear properties, superior chemical resistance and outstanding toughness and strength. Currently Westlake is stocking PEEK in film, rod and select sizes of sheet.
PES film possesses a combination of properties such as high resistance to heat and combustibility,
low smoke emission and transparency. These coupled with light weight, high tear initiation and
propagation strength, dimensional stability, chemical resistance and thermoformability make the
film particularly useful in electrical, aerospace, automotive, and mass trasit industries. *In addition to our standard capabilities, Westlake also has the
ability to process custom resins in various sizes and colors
with some exceptions.
TPX has a remarkable and unique combination of transparency and resistance to heat and
chemicals. It also has unique acoustical properties. It is used in a wide variety of applications
including speaker cones, gas separating membranes, release films and carrier films for ceramic
slurry. *In addition to our standard capabilities, Westlake also has the
ability to process custom resins in various sizes and colors
with some exceptions.
PVDF is strong and tough as reflected by its tensile properties and impact strength. Compared to
many thermoplastics, PVDF has excellent resistance to creep and fatigue, yet in thin sections such
as films, PVDF components are flexible and transparent. *In addition to our standard capabilities, Westlake also has the
ability to process custom resins in various sizes and colors
with some exceptions.
Tempalux offers high heat resistance coupled with high strength, stiffness, UV stability and broad
chemical resistance. The combination of outstanding thermal, mechanical and electrical properties
together with exceptional flame resistance and thermoformability, provide unprecedented
performance for a wide variety of demanding new design concepts.
Thermalux is a tough, rigid, high-strength, amorphous thermoplastic that maintains its properties
over a wide temperature range. It has good electrical properties, clarity and toughness, plus
exceptional steam resistance and thermoformability. It is used widely in food service, electronics,
medical devices, chemical process equipment and automotive industries. *In addition to our standard capabilities, Westlake also has the
ability to process custom resins in various sizes and colors
with some exceptions.
