Impact Resistance

Impact resistance is a material’s ability to withstand intense force or shock applied to it over a short period of time. Westlake Plastics offer the following materials for applications requiring high impact resistance.

  • Absylux (ABS)

    Absylux (ABS)

Absylux Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) is a very good and economical all-purpose product exhibiting excellent dimensional stability, especially as compression molded (a proprietary Westlake Plastics Process). ABS is an excellent option in applications, such as pump housings, where high temperature resistance is not required.
