Norylux is Westlake Plastics’ family of Poly Phenylene Oxide (PPO). This high strength amorphous engineering thermoplastic offers outstanding mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties along with low moisture absorption and low thermal expansion, making it one of the most dimensionally stable thermoplastics available. Because of these characteristics, Norylux is widely used for electrical housings and fluid handling components that can see a wide range of service temperatures. Westlake offers a range of grays and black as standard colors, but custom colors are available. The material can be shaped by all common melt processing and thermoforming methods and is easy to machine. Westlake Plastics extrudes and compression molds unfilled and flame-retardant products and compression molds glass reinforced and glass/mineral filled products.
